Sales

How to buy artworks via Umye?

If an artwork is on sale (for a fixed price) it will be marked by an "S" and the price will be shown below the post's icon line. Next to the price you have "see details" which is supposed to contain details about taxes, shipping etc. However, as this field is filled by the artist manually, don't expect any strict format. If you are interested in buying the piece of art the post displays click on the "S" and you will be forwarded to the artist's contact information. Establish contact and discuss further details directly with the artist. Some artist may have a link to their sales team or a gallery that does the sales for them in their contact information. In that case you follow those links. Please note that Umye doesn't participate in the money transfer from buyer to seller, nor do we organise shipping. Transactions and deliveries have to be organised by the users themselves, and you have the full legal and material responsibility for them.

How to sell artworks via Umye?

When publishing your artwork, choose "offer for sale" from the "choose post type" section. In the next step you will be asked to state your sales price and to enter sale details. The sale details should include information about taxes and delivery. Make sure that your contact information is correct. Once your work has found a buyer, the buyer will contact you. Please note that Umye doesn't participate in the money transfer from buyer to seller, nor do we organise shipping. Transactions and deliveries have to be organised by the users themselves, and you have the full legal and material responsibility for them.

Auctions

How do auctions work?

When publishing a post, the artist can choose "put on auction" from the "choose post type" section. In the next step he will be asked to define your opening price, your closing deadline and sale details. The published post will be marked with an "A". By clicking on "Sale deatils", potential buyers can place their bids. If they place a bid, they will receive messages about further bids / price changes. Once the deadline for offers passed, the artist will be informed about who has placed the highest bid. Umye will either send him a link to the bidders profile (via the Umye messenger) or the bidders email (if he has deactivated the messenger). The artist is then supposed to get in touch with the bidder. Please note that Umye doesn't participate in the money transfer from buyer to seller, nor do we organise shipping. Transactions and deliveries have to be organised by the users themselves, and you have the full legal and material responsibility for them.
